Mission
- Sequoia Park Zoo inspires conservation of the natural world by instilling admiration, respect and passion for wildlife.

- Create intimate connections between people and animals ;
- To provide the highest standards of animal care and exhibition;
- Providing innovative educational experiences;
- Partnerships with other institutions to ensure the sustainability of zoo and wild populations;
- Provide a place for your community to meet, relax and enjoy; and
- Enjoying and utilising its unique sequoia environment.
Information on financing
- Funds will be awarded up to US$ 3,000.
Eligible projects
- Support is limited to projects that can be completed within two years, with a progress report delivered at the end of the first year. Some progress must be made in the first year, otherwise the Committee will ask for the funds to be returned. A final post-project report will be required upon completion of the funded project.
Election criteria
- Proposals must be submitted by individuals or organisations for projects that have a clear direct impact on wildlife and/or habitat conservation.
- Appropriate projects include proposals for research , certain educational programmes and habitat management.
- All types of conservation projects will be reviewed, with special attention to the following:
- projects aligned with the conservation objectives of the Zoo and the species represented there;
- local research and conservation projects.
