Revealing opportunities: Jacobs Foundation research grant programme 2024
A Global Initiative for Research on Child and Youth Development
Embark on a transformative journey with the Jacobs Foundation Research Fellowship Programme, a highly competitive opportunity open to early and mid-career researchers dedicated to promoting the learning and development of children and young people around the world. This global fellowship programme spans several disciplines, including educational sciences, psychology, economics, sociology, behavioural sciences, computer science, pedagogy, linguistics, neuroscience and learning science.
Programme focus and main issues
The Jacobs Foundation is calling for applications from academics who embrace interdisciplinary work and seek to combine multiple levels of analysis. The programme has a particular focus on understanding variability in learning, promoting evidence on human learning and development, and scaling up effective educational policies and practices. Key issues include:
- How do variations in individuals and contextual factors influence learning and development outcomes?
- How can we design student variability at scale to allow all children to reach their potential?
- What interventions can reduce inequalities in children's learning and address disparities in the impacts of digital technologies?
- How can data play a role in helping students and teachers make informed decisions about their learning and teaching?
