Entries are now open for the Les Margaret Awards 2024. The Les Margaret Awards honour European, African and Canadian women entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs every year, whose projects and innovation respond to the major challenges facing our society.
The award is named after Margaret Hamilton, director of the software engineering division that developed the embedded software for NASA's Apollo space programme. It was thanks to Margaret Hamilton's contribution that man first set foot on the Moon. Through the Les Margaret Awards, JFD supports the growth and international influence of start-ups and entrepreneurial initiatives by European, African and Canadian women.

Eligibility
- You are a female founder or co-founder of a technology start-up for the "Entrepreneur" category.
- You have developed an innovative project in agreement with your employer, remaining an employee for the "Intrapreneur" category.
- You are a young person under the age of 18 with a project that highlights your creative, innovative and entrepreneurial spirit, for the "Junior" category.
- You are a citizen of a European, African or Canadian country, your project is innovative and responds to social issues.
Application
The winners will be selected in three stages:
- Applicants are invited to fill in an application form available online.
- On Thursday 8 February 2024, the shortlisted entries will be presented to the Margaret Awards jury. Following these presentations, deliberations will take place behind closed doors to determine the 2024 winners. After that date, the finalists will be announced, but the names of the 10 winners will remain confidential until the premiere ceremony.
- The premiere conference will take place on Wednesday 17 April 2024, during the 12th edition of the Journée de la Femme Digitale (JFD) in Paris, and the finalists must make themselves available for the ceremony.
