Young people are often not considered leaders or seen as experts in their own right. In response, Chatham House is building a diverse community of young people from across Africa and Europe to participate in an international exchange with policymakers.

The Common Conversations on Futures (CFC) is a flagship initiative that endeavours to create a community of young African and European community leaders and involve them and their ideas in key political discussions. The online platform was created with a network of 27 young people from 13 countries and is based on the youth survey carried out in January 2019. It was developed by Chatham House and made possible by the Robert Bosch Stiftung.

- Applicants must be between 18 and 30 years old;
- Based in a European or African country;
- Interested in developing real solutions to global challenges such as climate change, inequality and security.
- You will also need a working knowledge of English.
- You don't need to have a degree or definite experience to apply. They want to know how you would help build a better world.
Application
The registration deadline is Monday 1st January 2024. You will be notified of the outcome of your application within six weeks of the closing date. They will also be able to contact you at the end of the year about related information, publications and events.
