Applications are now open for the AU Humanitarian Youth Forum 2023 . The AU Humanitarian Youth Forum is a fully funded opportunity for young people to participate in and contribute to humanitarian responses on the African continent.
The forum aims to strengthen the standard of humanitarian responses in Africa, promote youth ownership and leadership on humanitarian issues and mobilise young Africans for action in humanitarian development. Participants will have the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the functions and mandate of the African Humanitarian Agency, as well as engage in meaningful discussions with other youth delegates from across the continent. - Be an African resident in any African country or in the diaspora.
- 18 to 35 years old at the time of enrolment.
- Demonstrated track record of significant involvement with young people in various areas related to humanitarian and social development, at national, continental and international level.
- Socially involved and interested in development issues and political dialogue on humanitarian issues.
- Ability to draft a youth position paper on youth issues related to humanitarian affairs.
- Experience in youth involvement and affiliated to youth-led organisations, networks or movements.
- Proficiency in any AU language.
- Have a valid passport with at least six months validity.
