Applications are now open for the NYU Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute Global Journalist Fellowship 2024. This fellowship provides support to international journalists of all identities and backgrounds who enrol in one of our graduate journalism programmes at NYU's Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute. All of its programmes are three semesters, except for Global Studies and Programmes and Literary Reporting, which are both four semesters.

Brotherhood
- The 2024 scholarship covers tuition and registration fees for two of the three or four semesters of the programme. The scholar also received a stipend of approximately US$ 16,000 for each of the two semesters of the scholarship.

- hold a non-US passport;
- be fluent in English and at least one additional language;
- have significant experience in journalism working for a news organisation or independently in any medium (corporate communications, public relations and student publications do not qualify);
- They have a four-year degree or a three-year degree plus one year of postgraduate study;
- apply for both the scholarship and admission to the Master's programme in Journalism;
- O GRE exam is not compulsory;
- TOEFL: take the TOEFL or IELTS. The TOEFL is only waived if English was a candidate's language of instruction in their degree programme.
Application
Journalists interested in the scholarship must simultaneously complete an application for the scholarship and an application for the master's programme at NYU's Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute. Applicants must select one of the ten concentrations that most interest them as their course of study.
