Applications are now open for the Melton Foundation Global Solvers Accelerator 2024 . The Global Solvers Accelerator brings together emerging social change agents from around the world for an impact-orientated, project-focused learning journey.
Over the course of eight months, participants learn and work together to develop collective leadership skills, improve the social impact initiatives they lead in their communities and trigger transformative change that transcends sector, local and identity boundaries, promoting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Through the programme, participants generate waves of impact: on themselves, by developing their leadership skills and transformative potential; on their local community, by accelerating their social impact project for sustainable development beyond normal business; and on their global peers, by pooling their know-how, experience and humanity.
Benefits
- Training: The programme is a springboard for participants to boost their capacity in areas such as collective leadership, transformative impact and systemic design. Through stimulating thematic contributions, peer exchange, issue counselling and project assignments, participants increase their leadership competencies as well as their global citizenship skills.
- Increase Impact: The 8-month learning journey connects emerging change agents around the world to refine their social impact initiatives, activate their collective leadership potential and, together, unleash transformative change that crosses barriers of place and identity, promoting the SDGs.
- Melton bag: Upon successful completion of the programme, participants are eligible to join the Melton Foundation's lifelong supported community as Senior Melton Fellows, gaining access to a global community of over 600 catalysts for change around the world, project funding through our Action Grants, travel opportunities to global impact events and much more.
- Collaborator:During the programme, actively engaged participants will be invited to attend a fully funded face-to-face retreat. Connecting hearts, hands and minds, the Global Solvers Co-Lab creates a space for sectors, cultures, identities and know-how to converge into something "greater than the sum of its parts". An integral part of the Global Solvers Accelerator, the week-long Co-Lab retreat is the space for participants to connect personally and co-create transformative paths together. The dates and location of the 2024 Global Solvers Co-Lab will be revealed in due course. As co-sponsors of the event, the Melton Foundation and Ernst-Abbe-Stiftung will cover travel, accommodation, visa expenses, learning resources and event-related materials, among others, to enable all participants to join the Co-Lab regardless of their socio-economic background!
- Participants in the Accelerator Fund have the opportunity to tap into immediate financial resources to support their social impact project. The Global Solver Accelerator Fund pools a significant percentage of the programme fees charged to participants and will be made available to deserving projects at the end of the programme.
Eligibility
- Open to young community development professionals aged between 20 and 35;
- Be curious, responsible, forward-thinking, with a proven track record of social impact and actively involved in or currently leading a local impact project;
- You're looking to connect with like-minded colleagues to better understand the world together.
