Sterling Bank has collaborated with FI to help startups gain traction and funding through a critical support network and a structured business-building process. FI is a pre-seed accelerator with unique expertise and experience in helping early-stage entrepreneurs launch impactful, long-lasting technology companies.
Your One Client Bank provided a sponsorship package of US$ 60,000 for 4 cohorts of incubation/acceleration programmes at US$ 15,000 per cohort.
The programme offers a sponsorship package to five founders with the most innovative ideas in five of the bank's focuses (Health, Education, Agriculture, Renewable Energy and Transport). Candidates go through a rigorous selection process to ensure that only the best of the best get into the programme.
Who is it for?
This programme is aimed at young innovative entrepreneurs aged between 18 and 35 with innovative ideas whose businesses are based on technology and fall within the HEART sector.
How does it work?
This year, the FI x Sterling Bank Fellowship for Spring Lagos 2023 is taking a new approach. Each applicant will be required to take a predictive test, also known as the Entrepreneur DNA Test. The FI team will use the scores from this test to identify the top five founders in each HEART sector.
After the application period, candidates will be grouped into different sectors based on their area of expertise. The best performers will then be selected and shared with the Sterling team for the final selection.
In the end, one founder per sector will be selected to receive the grant. This process ensures that the selection process is objective and transparent and that the most qualified founders are selected for the scholarship.
What do entrepreneurs have to gain from this grant?
As well as being mentored and trained by the best in the sector, scholarship candidates can meet and interact with impact investors, venture capitalists and business angels.
