Feeding the planet's population sustainably is one of society's greatest challenges. MassChallenge has partnered with some of the biggest corporations in food production (Nestlé, Bühler, Givaudan, DSM, Louis Dreyfus Company and many more) to find, accelerate and collaborate with startups, so that they can make a difference. business of the startup grow and make a huge impact on society.

The Track will also include startups that took part in the MassChallenge Israel e Mexico Food Tracks.

Early-stage startups
  • Early-stage startups can sign up for the Global Sustainable Food track. This accelerator track is operated by MassChallenge Switzerland and operates as part of the Swiss early-stage accelerator programme.
  • Startups are accepted from anywhere in the world and will benefit from unrivalled access to the world's leading food companies, access to 400+ experts, a tailor-made food-specific curriculum and the opportunity to compete for up to CHF 1M in non-dilutive cash prizes.
  • The accelerator runs from July to October. The MassChallenge only accepts startups whose solution adds value to society, and all startups in the accelerator will be guided on how to make their business responsible and must intend to offset their emissions or actively reduce GHGs in order to be considered.

Eligibility Criteria
  • Startups from all locations will be obliged to travelling to Switzerland to take part in Half-Time activities. These events generate connections and facilitate collaboration with partners, mentors and investors. They maximise the startups' benefits from the programme. The rest of the programme takes place online.
  • US-based startups have the option of being resident at the MassChallenge offices in Boston or Texas. American startups must travel to Switzerland for physical events. In addition, they will be able to participate in local MassChallenge activities in the USA.
