AIIDEV Africa is pleased to present Oceanovation, an ambitious and transformative programme
aimed at boosting innovation, sustainability and community development in the
sectors of the blue economy. By offering advanced training, promoting research into blue economy solutions, fostering community-based projects and facilitating the Innovation Bootcamp
This programme aims to equip participants with the knowledge and skills
necessary to contribute to the growth and prosperity of blue economy industries
.
The aim of the programme is to promote solutions for a sustainable blue economy in Africa.
This programme aims to address opportunities and challenges by equipping
participants with the skills to innovate and develop solutions that promote the blue economy
.
The Oceanovation Programme aims to take advantage of these opportunities by promoting a
collaborative and innovative ecosystem that supports the development of sustainable and economically viable solutions to various challenges related to the oceans, by providing a
comprehensive platform for learning, research and
practical application.
NB: The Oceanovation Africa Programme will be conducted in English, and applicants
must have adequate knowledge of the language. Applications not submitted in English
will be disqualified. This programme will be carried out in a hybrid format, using several
pedagogy and learning communication platforms. The successful candidates will be on board and
enrolled in the programme from 21 September 2023.
Eligibility criteria: To take part in this programme, please observe the following criteria
before proceeding with your enrolment:
1. Applicants must be citizens of any African country between the ages of 21 and 35.
2. Candidates must have at least a bachelor's degree or equivalent in any field.

3. Candidates should have a genuine interest in and passion for the blue economy and a desire to
to contribute to the realisation of SDG 14 in Africa.
4. Scholars must demonstrate leadership potential and a strong commitment to making a positive impact on their respective countries and communities.
5. Fellows must be available to actively participate in the programme, including attending training sessions, workshops and community projects.
6. Candidates must have a good command of English, as the programme
will be conducted in English.
7. Candidates must have access to a reliable internet connection and the necessary technological devices
to participate fully in virtual activities and meetings.
