Miss.Africa Digital has launched the 2023 Seed-Fund Award Impact Programme for women in STEM.
What do they offer?
- DCA Academy Booth Camp Accelerator
- 6 weeks of personalised support and scaling training to enable them to successfully launch or expand their initiatives to increase their digital opportunities in technology-related inventions, training and leadership roles.
- Comprehensive network
- Unlimited access to the FemPower Digital Portal, made up of former winners and alumni, as well as other girls and women members of the community. They will facilitate meetings and symposiums, training, support and counselling, and market connections of their members and participants for networking and exchanging ideas.
- Mentoring and coaching
- Access to coaching and mentoring from DCA Digital Academy experts to produce tangible improvements in terms of career development and talent mobility.
Project Eligibility
Preference will be given to projects that target underprivileged populations and locations, adopt a collaborative approach, have a high growth potential and present an innovative use of technology.
Projects eligible for grant funding include, but are not limited to:
- Computer workshops and training for women and girls
- Early incubation of women technology entrepreneurs
- Programming and application development training programmes
- Hackathons and programming bootcamps for girls.
Who they're looking for
- Current residents of an African country in continental Africa. Individuals (at least 18 years old), or a representative of a non-governmental organisation (NGO) or social enterprise based in Africa.
- Proven experience in conducting activities to support women and girls in computer science or STEM areas.
- Commitment to developing and contributing to a virtual community of support for women's and girls' initiatives.

- Grant amount up to $5,000
- Includes a 6-week growth accelerator
