Applications are now open for the Youth Hackathon for Low Carbon Green Agriculture (#YouthforGLCA) 2023 . #YouthforGLCA aims to bring out the creativity and problem-solving nature of young people to provide solutions for global agricultural green development, as well as the reduction of agricultural carbon emissions and carbon sequestration, by adopting innovative and inclusive methods with the sense of "New Technology, New Standard and New Service".
#YouthforGLCA is a joint effort by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) China Office, the International Cooperation Department of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS), the International Agricultural Research Centre of CAAS and the Young Professionals for Agricultural Development (YPARD). The previous year, the 2022 Youth Hackathon for Reducing Food Loss and Waste was organised, with 21 countries taking part and receiving an impressive flow of creative proposals. After three rounds of rigorous selection, a total of 15 teams from 8 countries successfully advanced to the final phase.

Eligibility
- Open to all young professionals;
- Ideally, team members should be aged between 18 and 40, of any nationality, with participating economies all over the world.
