Applications are now open for the Youth Delegation to the World Forum for Democracy 2023 The World Forum for Democracy is A unique platform for policymakers and activists to debate solutions to the main challenges facing democracies worldwide. By identifying experimental initiatives and practices, the Forum highlights and encourages grassroots democratic innovations and their systemic transfer to strengthen the foundations of democratic societies. The Forum thus contributes to the evolution of democracy towards more participatory and inclusive structures and institutions.

During the 2023 edition of the World Democracy Forum, one of the key questions is... "Can democracy guarantee and deliver peace?"

The central content of the Forum will consist of calls for successful initiatives and actions, starting from real-life experiences. General guiding principles will then be outlined to encourage and foster future policy responses and actions on the ground. In this context, the Council of Europe's Youth Department will invite and prepare a youth presence to participate and engage with decision-makers and opinion leaders in a reflection on the question "Democracy = Peace?".
