The Global Citizen Award: The Cisco Youth Leadership Award was created by Cisco and Global Citizen to recognise and elevate a young person with a positive impact on the world, demonstrate the impact young people are having on achieving the United Nations Global Goals, and accelerate the resolution of global problems.

The Global Citizen Award: The Cisco Youth Leadership Award honours an individual aged 18-30 who has made a significant contribution to the goal of ending extreme poverty. The award includes a prize of 250,000 dollars paid to the organisation to which the individual contributes.

Demonstrated a record of measurable impact at scale over the last 3-5 years, advancing one or more of the Global Goals.

VISION
Convincing vision and concrete plans for how to extend this work over the next 3-5 years, including how the prize will advance the efforts.

CATALYST
Inspire other young people to have an impact on achieving one or more of the Global Goals

It demonstrates the values and embodies the spirit of a Global Citizen and a Global Problem Solver.
