Seedstars' Enhancing Women Entrepreneurship in Africa (EWEA) programme is inviting women-led small and medium enterprises (WSMEs), as well as community facilitators and entrepreneurship support programmes in Africa, to sign up for its series of mentoring and skills training workshops.
The EWEA programme is a collaboration between the AFAWA Initiative (Affirmative Financial Action for Women in Africa), Seedstars and GrowthAfrica.
The aim of the project is to address gender inequality and inclusive economic empowerment for African women. Specifically, the Project aims to increase the capacity and sustainability of facilitators supporting women-led Small and Medium Enterprises (WSMEs), as well as increasing access to mentoring, funding and visibility for WSMEs.
ELIGIBILITY
Facilitators must register if they are:
Based in any of the following countries: Cameroon, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Kenya, Malawi, Morocco, Mozambique, Senegal, South Africa, Tanzania, Rwanda, Zambia, Ivory Coast, Ethiopia, Angola, Mali, Zimbabwe, Uganda, Botswana, Sierra Leone, Ghana, Gambia, Namibia, Cape Verde, Mauritius and Nigeria.
Increase the viability and sustainability of WSMEs.
Provide innovative approaches to ecosystem support designed to close the funding gap for WSMEs.
Introducing innovative ways to provide training for WSMEs.
Providing digital presence and visibility for WSMEs.
e Improve access to guidance for WSMEs.
WSMEs should be applied if they are:
Between the Seed and the Growth Stage.
Based on one of the countries above.
Have at least one woman on the founding team.
Having a digital element in your product (e.g. mobile app, online shop, SAAS product, etc.).
