Deadline: 18th November 2022
Applicants are now being accepted for the Getty Images Creative Grant : Chosen Family.
Traditional cultural and family norms can often overshadow the expression of LGBTQ+ identity. At the same time, the modern definition of family has expanded to include any configuration of individuals who provide support for one another.
This year's creative grant, Chosen Family, will provide financial support and mentoring to three artists who are presenting and authentically exploring celebrations, events and actions across a wide range of people and groups who are part of 'chosen families', outside of the stereotypical Pride celebration. images. This includes new family norms and cultural traditions related to LGBTQ+ communities around the world. A 'chosen family' is defined by those who have intentionally joined together, whether legally recognised or not, to embrace, nurture, love and support each other, regardless of blood or marriage.
