IREX is looking for experienced professionals to read and assess applications for the 2023 Community Solutions Programme.
The Community Solutions Programme (CSP) is a one-year professional development programme for people who are working to improve their communities, addressing issues related to the environment, peace and conflict resolution, transparency and accountability, women and gender. For 2023-2024, community activists will be selected to take part in the programme, which includes:
- Fellowship in the United States: Fellows are matched with host organisations across the USA, where they complete a four-month practical work experience.
- Community Leadership Institute: Fellows take part in the Community Leadership Institute, a leadership training programme designed to strengthen their leadership and management skills. The Institute includes live virtual discussions, online courses, professional coaching and networking.
- Community Action Project: To complete the programme, fellows carry out a community development initiative or project in their home community. While in the USA, the fellows design and plan this project with the support of their host organisation and the Community Leadership Institute facilitators. Once the fellows leave the USA, they put these projects into action.
