The University of Sydney under the Faculty of Engineering is offering an International Research Scholarship with Tuition Fees to eligible international students who are enrolling in a Postgraduate Research Programme for the 2022-2023 academic session.
This scholarship will provide academic tuition fees for outstanding international higher degree research (HDR) students within the Faculty of Engineering.
Funded by the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Sydney, this scholarship was established to provide academic tuition fees for outstanding international higher degree research (HDR) students within the Faculty.
The scholarship will provide tuition fees for academic courses and the Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF), subject to satisfactory academic performance for:
- Up to four research periods for a successful master's degree per research beneficiary (no extension possible)
- Up to 12 research periods for a doctoral student with a possible extension of two research periods.
Eligibility Criteria
- being an international student
- Applicants must have an unconditional offer of admission to a full-time PhD or Masters by Research programme with the intention of transferring to a PhD after satisfactory completion of the first progress review interview.
- Applicants must provide proof that their grant is being paid by a third-party sponsor or funded by a university
- Candidates must apply and be considered for an RTP scholarship
- Applicants must not be the beneficiaries of an RTP or an equivalent primary scholarship providing tuition fees for academic courses
Application procedure
- To apply for the University of Sydney Postgraduate Research Scholarship, applicants should note that HDR Engineering students who can provide evidence that their subsistence allowance is being paid by a third-party sponsor or funded by the university will be considered for this scholarship.
