The Australian Northern Area Government is pleased to offer a scholarship to eligible international students for the 2022/2023 academic session. The scholarship programme is currently accessible to all international students wishing to study in northern Australia.

Australia's Northern Territory Scholarships are provided by the Northern Territory (NT) Government to talented international students.

Applications are open all year round for all other education and training providers participating in the scholarship programme. The scholarship allows you to reduce your tuition fees for the first semester or year of school with your education provider.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Northern Territory Scholarship for International Students, applicants must fulfil the following conditions:

• Applied for and obtained an offer of admission to study at NT
• Demonstrated record of academic excellence, community involvement and leadership
• Meet the academic and English entry criteria of the NT education or training institution
• Switch to NT from interstate or abroad
• Applicants must not already be studying in the NT, or with an NT education provider
• Applicants must not hold any other scholarship
• Candidates must have sent a completed application form to their NT educational institution,
• Applicants must not be native-born: not hold Australian citizenship, be a permanent resident of Australia or a New Zealand citizen.
