O Mandela Institute for Development Studies (MINDS) announced the MINDS Scholarship Programme for young leaders committed to facilitating greater cooperation between African countries in order to achieve the continent's future success.
The scholarship programme is designed to enable African students to study in an African country other than their country of origin and thus immerse themselves in the richness and diversity that the country and its communities have to offer. Young African scholars are encouraged to take advantage of the scholarship opportunity to advance their educational career.

MINDS Scholarship Programme for Africans 2022 | Eligibility criteria:
- Applicants must be enrolled in a full-time one- or two-year Master's programme at one of MINDS' preferred institutions
- Applicants should be individuals with a pan-African perspective, demonstrated leadership skills and an excellent academic record who wish to study on the African continent, outside of their home country.
- Applicants must have obtained a bachelor's degree (licenciatura) from a recognised university, at any of the MINDS preferred institutions.
- Candidates must be formally accepted by one or more of MINDS' preferred institutions to pursue postgraduate studies.
- Candidates must provide evidence of ability or potential leadership capacity guided by the questions/requirements set out in the application form.
