WeCare, through its manager Leonardo Cunha, was present, at the invitation of the Government, at the Workshop for the Validation of Legislative Proposals relating to the Legal Regime of Public Funding for Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and the Statute of the Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE).
The meeting brought together representatives from the public institution, civil society organizations (CSOs), and international partners, in a space for dialogue and consultation on the future framework of the sector.

Participation also allowed for strengthening dialogue between the different stakeholders and promoting the collective development of solutions tailored to the real needs of the sector.
For WeCare, initiatives like this represent an important step towards developing more inclusive public policies aligned with current social challenges, reinforcing the role of CSOs as fundamental agents of social transformation.
The organization reaffirms its commitment to collaborating with authorities and partners in promoting a more favorable environment for the operation of civil society organizations and the growth of the Social and Solidarity Economy in Cape Verde.
