O NextGen Leaders Program in Resource Governance ACEP 2026/2027 This represents a unique opportunity for young Cape Verdeans who wish to develop advanced skills in natural resource management and governance. This program, promoted by the African Centre for Energy Policy (ACEP), aims to train a new generation of leaders capable of driving sustainable and innovative policies in Cape Verde.
Programme objectives
The main objective of this program is to equip young professionals with practical and theoretical tools to improve the governance of natural resources in Cape Verde. Participants will have access to:
- Specialised training in energy policies and resource management.
- Mentoring with international experts in governance and sustainability.
- Networking with key leaders and organizations in the sector.
- Practical projects which allow you to apply knowledge in real-world contexts.
Who can apply?
The program is intended for young Cape Verdeans with:
- Age between 25 and 35 years.
- Academic background in fields such as Economics, Law, Engineering, Environmental Sciences or related areas.
- Professional experience or proven interest in natural resource governance.
- Availability to participate in in-person and online sessions over 12 months.
