The Community365 Bootcamp in Santa Cruz has come to an end with the 3 best projectsThis was the first edition of the event, and the closing session was attended by the President of the Cape Verde Olympic Academy, Orlando Mascarenhas, also representing the Cape Verde Olympic Committee, as well as members of the WeCare organization, Bootcamp participants, and the local community.

Winning projects from the Community365 Bootcamp:

1st place: Talent League – Alissa Andrade

2nd place: I moved my body to my Saudi – Silvino Teixeira

3rd place: Sports initiation school – Paulino Correia and Lidiane Correia

First place was won by Talent LeagueThe Talent League is a social project founded by sisters Alissa, Larissa, and Lissa Andrade, professionals in the fields of sports, health, and law. Created in 2023, the project's main objective is to combat delinquency, social problems, and sedentary lifestyles through tournaments and the training of athletes and instructors. In the three years it has held tournaments, the Talent League has increased the number of teams and athletes registered with each edition, reflecting its growing impact on the community.

For Alissa Andrade, one of the founders of Liga dos Talentos: “The Bootcamp was an excellent opportunity to share ideas and improve our project, which is already in Santa Cruz, but will also benefit children, teenagers and monitors from other municipalities.”

Another winner, Silvino Teixeira, responsible for the project I moved my body to my SaudiHe highlighted the importance of the topics covered during the Bootcamp, such as sports ethics, governance, and the social impact of sport.

“Sport is an essential tool for health and for preventing social problems. This Bootcamp helped me expand my vision and provided me with tools to take my project to a new level,” he explained.

The three projects The winners now move on to the second phase of the program, the Sport Accelerator Lab, scheduled for 2026where they will have the opportunity to expand their initiatives and reach an even larger audience.

During the bootcamp, the young people participated in awareness-raising and training activities, receiving certificates that will help them implement their own community initiatives in the future.

The Community365 Bootcamp not only awarded innovative projects, but also reinforced the transformative power of sport as a tool for building a more active, healthy, and united society. The initiative, which partnered with the local community, demonstrated that through sport, it is possible to create opportunities for development and inclusion for young people.
