WeCare, in partnership with the Santa Cruz City Council, and with the support of the participants of the community365 bootcamp, will be celebrating World Clean Up Day with a big clean-up action in Pedra Badejo on 20 September.
This global movement, officially recognised and included in the United Nations (UN) calendar in 2023, brings together millions of people in more than 190 countries in a joint effort to clean up the planet, promote responsible waste management and reinforce the commitment to a healthy environment.
The initiative, which was born out of the grassroots Let's Do It World movement, emphasises the power of collective action and the responsibility of each individual in building a cleaner, more sustainable and fairer world for all.
