Description
Applications are now open for the GlobalGiving Accelerator Programme 2021. The GlobalGiving Accelerator is a virtual training programme and crowdfunding campaign that will help you take your fundraising to the next level.
Following an optional one-week training curriculum, you will be enrolled in an Accelerator campaign, where you will raise at least US$ 5,000 in total from a minimum of 40 different donors to graduate and secure a permanent fundraising place on the GlobalGiving platform.
The GlobalGiving Accelerator is an opportunity for you and your organisation to build skills, access tools and grow your supporter base to achieve crowdfunding success. When you graduate, your organisation becomes a permanent member of GlobalGiving, and you will have access to all the tools, training and one-to-one support available in the GlobalGiving community.
Training Topics
Training topics include:
Crowdfunding 101;
Mapping your potential donor network;
Storytelling and e-mail appeals; and
Creating SMART goals.
Eligibility
Open to non-profit organisations anywhere in the world;
They must be registered;
Organisations participating in the Accelerator can only post one project on the GlobalGiving platform during the Accelerator;
If your project is not in English, you must include an English translation.
Benefits
GlobalGiving will provide an extra US$ 30,000 in funding awards and matching bonuses to participating organisations.
Organisations that successfully complete the GlobalGiving Accelerator, raising at least US$ 5,000 in total from a minimum of 40 different donors, will win:
Ongoing membership of the GlobalGiving community, including ongoing opportunities to attract new corporate and individual donors.
Inclusion in a GlobalGiving press release announcing the Accelerator graduates (example).
A personalised media kit to help promote your achievement.
A certificate of completion from GlobalGiving.
Additional promotional opportunities, including through social media or the GlobalGiving homepage, for the best artists.

Bonus Day: During the 24-hour Bonus Day, all Accelerator participants will compete for a share of GlobalGiving's US$ 20,000 Incentive Fund and two bonus prizes of US$ 1,000. The more you raise on Bonus Day, the more you get from the Incentive Fund!
General Prizes: At the end of the Accelerator, prizes will be awarded to the top three organisations in the following categories: Most Funds Raised, Most Unique Donors and Most Recurring/Monthly Donors.
Recurring/monthly donor incentives: More information will be shared about all the ways you can get extra funding from GlobalGiving during the Accelerator once your application is approved!
